These buttons (shown above in the off position) are normally on (down), like this:
When you have your colored eyeglasses on (the button is down) you are able to see the listings of that color (status) and when you take your colored eyeglasses off (the button is up) you are unable to see any listings of that color (status).
To change the eyeglass settings from on to off (or vice versa) simply click on the eyeglass button.
INTERFACE™ uses color to denote the status of a listing. The colors are based on the traffic light. Green on a traffic light means go and in INTERFACE™ it means Active, as in go sell it. Red on a traffic light means stop, and in INTERFACE™ it means Sold, as in stop trying to sell it its already sold. Yellow on the traffic light means that the light was green and now it is about to turn red. It has the exact same meaning in INTERFACE™, it was green and it is about to turn red, that is it is now Unconditional. The following colors are in use:
Status | Definition | |
---|---|---|
Active | A listing that is currently for sale - under contract | |
Conditional | A listing that has an accepted offer in place with conditions to be met (i.e. Subject to a well test) | |
Unconditional | A listing that has an accepted offer in place with all conditions removed | |
Sold | A listing that has closed | |
Expired | A listing that has lapsed past the expiry date of the listing contract | |
Cancelled | A listing that has been cancelled during the term of the listing contract - no longer under contract | |
Inactive | A listing that has been temporarily suspended from active status - remains under contract | |
Purged | A listing that has been deleted but is not yet physically removed from the database |
Purged listings are a special category only available in INTERFACE™. It is used to display listings that have been marked for deletion but are not actually deleted from the database.
If for example you want to see only active listings you would turn off all of your eyeglasses except your green ones, like this:
And if you wanted to see only sold listing your would have to turn off all of your eyeglasses except the red ones, like this (with the View Archived Listings on as well):
Note: Double clicking any eyeglass button will cause it to be set to the ON position and the other 3 eye glasses to be set to the OFF position regardless of the pre-existing state of the eye glasses. This principally has its advantage for Active listing searching as it makes it a one step operation to set the eye glasses to Active only. In addition if you have a long list and you wish to narrow it to just Active status you can now do it in one operation and the long list will not have to keep reloading as you progressively turn OFF the eyeglasses.
The View Archived Listings button has a similar function. It turns the View Archived Listings on or off so you either just see the more current listings on your hard drive (if off i.e. up) or you see the whole MLS history of listings as well as the more current ones (if on i.e. down). It is a good idea to turn off the View Archived Listings when you do a CMA.
The button notionally controls cancelled and expired listings although actually it controls inactive, conditional and purged as well.
The eyeglass buttons have no meaning for Assessments, Phone Book Records, or Offices; but the and buttons do work with Agents. The can be used to turn off the view of all inactive agents while the can be used to turn off the view of all active agents.
