Count on the fly displays the number of results you will find before you do your search. The count on the fly feature displays both the exact matches and near match results.
If you change your Minimum Match percentage to say "90 %" the search parameters is "relaxed" to allow some results that are near matches to the search criteria entered. The lower the percentage value the more "relaxed" the parameters. The following example shows the results at 85%.
When you Create Update Searches you should consider saving your update search profiles at a percent less than 100%. For example if you have a potential purchaser with a price range of $150,000 to $200,000. If you set your percentage to 85% as shown above the (amongst other things) the price searched may return listings priced just under and just over the $150,000 to $200,000 price range.
